The MCP server for AI tools

Your coding assistant, or any MCP client, can deploy, read logs, create databases and branches and check billing. Every tool calls the public API with your key, so the assistant never has more access than that key.

1. Make a key for it#

Key
cloudhost keys create assistant --role developer --expires 30
# created key 7e5926b6f29c (developer, expires …). Shown once:
# chk_live_…

Give the assistant its own key, with the role it needs and an expiry. With viewer it only reads; with developer it deploys and creates databases but cannot touch billing or members. Roles are in Teams and roles.

2. Connect the client#

The server speaks MCP over HTTP (Streamable HTTP), stateless, with JSON responses. Today its address is https://api.ibel.ai/mcp.

The function and app tools take product (function, the default, or app). Each tool's inputs follow the API route it calls, in the API reference.

Before the assistant acts#

  • create_topup only makes a payment link; nothing is charged until someone opens it and pays at the bank.
  • deploy_function, deploy_app, rollback, delete_project, delete_preview, restore_branch, delete_branch, delete_database, delete_cache, delete_bucket, delete_queue, purge_queue, purge_dead_letters and delete_schedule are marked destructive, so the client asks before running them. create_topup and create_api_key are marked not idempotent: each call makes a new link or key. Give a viewer key if you only want reading.
  • open_support_case and reply_support_case send a message to the support team (marked open-world and not idempotent); closing a case is left to you, in the dashboard or the CLI.
  • create_webhook and create_log_export send requests to an address you give (marked open-world and not idempotent) and return the signing secret once; delete_webhook and delete_log_export are marked destructive.
  • An API error comes back as a tool error with the API's message.
  • There are no MCP resources or prompts yet.
